Establishing a POP3 (Post Office Protocol) email account.
Last Updated 11 years ago
Hello and thank you for being a valued client.
As part of your Buzzazz service agreement, we provide and establish password secured unlimited numbers of personalized POP3 (Post Office Protocol) email accounts.
For security and safekeeping reasons, instead of storing and managing email traffic on Buzzazz servers, the best solution is for you to download, store and/or manage your email traffic flows from your personal electronic devices or another webmail service such as Outlook, Yahoo, Gmail, MACmail, Thunderbird, Hotmail, etc.
Virtually all modern email clients and servers support POP3 (Post Office Protocol), and it along with IMAP (Internet Message Access Protocol) are the two most prevalent Internet standard protocols for e-mail retrieval, with many webmail service providers such as Gmail, Hotmail, Outlook and Yahoo!
If you need additional help, our technical support team can assist you for our normal hourly rates.
Sincerely,
Buzzazz Tech Support
727-443-7300
P.S.
In case, POP3 Webmail setup is unfamiliar to you, basic setup instructions are:
For the email accounts associated with YOURDOMAIN.com should be POP3 and the incoming and outgoing mail servers should both be mail.YOURDOMAIN.com
Then the "My outgoing (SMTP) requires authentication" box should be checked and should use the same settings as my incoming mail server.
Then make sure the incoming server port number (POP3) should be 110 and the outgoing server (SMTP) should be set to 26.
Check to make sure that these settings are correct on the email accounts in outlook.
VITAL: Please check box the delete from server box within the advanced settings.
